The 3rd annual Responsible Travel and Tourism Forum (RTTF 2009) is set for October 14 at The Old Mill Inn in Toronto, Ontario. RTTF 2009 is a one day conference on how adopting sustainability strategies will help your business, reduce operational costs, engage employees, improve your product, build brand trust and generate long term customer loyalty.
With the economic landscape expected to improve over the next 12 months, businesses need to recognize that long-term survival is grounded on having a sound sustainability plan. This includes understanding how to cut energy costs, reduce waste, improve the travel product, attract talent and retain the best employees, gain brand value and build customer loyalty.
RTTF 2009 seeks to provide travel and tourism professionals the tools to identify and manage environmental, social and economic risks as well as capitalize on emerging green opportunities.
High-profile Canadian and international speakers from academia, the private and public sector will deliver a wide range of perspectives and current responsible travel and tourism initiatives being adopted globally.
The Forum will comprise of two plenary sessions and four workshops. The plenary sessions will address the business case for sustainable travel as well as present global trends in responsible travel businesses practices.
By popular demand, RTTF 2009 will be offering hands-on workshops. Leading experts will address topics ranging from how to green your business, understanding certification schemes, how to do green RFP’s for your supply chain, sustainable meetings and events, get started on a corporate social responsibility plan, and make sense of the impact of climate change on your business.
