Andrea Dixon

Andrea Dixon started Green Motion Travel with business partner, Lindsay Batchelar in 2010. As passionate travelers and believers in
sustainability in tourism, they envisioned building a comprehensive
database of green suppliers from all sectors of the travel industry. Green Motion Travel also develops educational tools for their home-based agents that help their clients make greener travel choices — choices that work for the traveler, our Earth and its people.

Andrea has a Masters in Tourism Administration in Sustainable Tourism from The George Washington University, and has worked for many Canadian tourism organizations including the Canadian Tourism Commission and The Canadian Tourism Research Institute. She has also consulted on sustainable tourism practices for organizations such as Wildlife Habitat Canada. In addition to her tourism degree, Andrea has a Bachelor in
Commerce from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education (primary/junior) from The University of Ottawa. Andrea is also a guest lecturer on sustainable tourism at Algonquin College.
